  • Where can I find a detailed instruction for the installation of EmailNotifier?


  • What is the difference between EmailNotifier and the usual read notification of my email software?

    The main difference is that EmailNotifier send out the notifications without the permission of the recipient. If the recipient of your email don't confirm to send you a notification, you will never know if he/she has read you e-mail.

    EmailNotifier will tell you exactly when and how often your e-mails are read:


    EmailNotifier can also be used in "Stealth Mode". In this case, the recipient doesn't notice that you will receive a notification.


  • Can I receive notifications for my emails that are hidden for the recipient?

    YES! In stealth mode (not available for the 30 days test version) the notification is processed automatically hidden for the recipient.


  • How can I send emails after the installation of EmailNotifier?

    As usual! You do not have to change your work habits because of the perfect integration of EmailNotifier in your email client. You can send your emails as usual from your email client and the notifications are managed by EmailNotifier automatically.


  • Which information will I receive about my send emails?

    • Date, time and IP address of the recipient at the first reading process
    • Date, time and IP address of the recipient at the last reading process
    • How often your emails have been opened


  • Which Email-Clients are supported?

    EmailNotifier works with nearly all email clients which use the SMTP protocol to send your emails. The setup routine makes all the required changes for these email clients: MS Outlook, MS Outlook Express, Eudora und Pegasus. If you use another email client, you must set the smtp server and port number in your email client by yourself.


  • What is an eTicket?

    An eTicket is an encrypted and digitally signed file (similar to registered mail) for emails sent through EmailNotifier (v2.0 upwards). eTickets make it possible to prove delivery of an email.

    Functionality:
    • You send an email with EmailNotifier.
    • After EmailNotifier notifies you that the email has been opened you can request the eTicket for that mail from our server.
    • Our Server encrypts and digitally signs the eTicket before sending it to EmailNotifier (making it secure against manipulation).
    • The eTicket can now be saved as textfile on your PC.
    • To verify delivery of a mail at a later point it is sufficient to request verification from our SSL encrypted server (the mail doesn't have to be present in EmailNotifiers overview). The result will be presented as follows:





  • Does EmailNotifier work with email providers like Web.de, Gmx.de?

    Yes, but not if you write these emails webbased (over the provider?s website). You need an email client (i.e. Microsoft Outlook) to send your emails; most of the providers offer an POP3 / SMTP access, so that using an email client does not represent a problem. You get more information from the specified provider (i.e. Web.de).


  • Can I use my GMail account with EmailNotifier?

    No. GMail encrypts its SMTP service only with TLS encryption, which is not supported yet by EmailNotifier.


  • Which requirements have to be present to ensure the functionality of EmailNotifier?

    To receive notifications for your emails, the recipient has to be connected to the internet and to read his/her emails in HTML format (including images).

  • Does using EmailNotifier lead to a higher probability of strangers intercepting my emails?

    No, because your emails are not sent through our mail servers but as before through the mail server of your provider. Our secure server does only save subject line and recipient but under no circumstances the content of your emails!


  • I want to buy a license for EmailNotifier, is it time limited?

    No, it is an unlimited license.


  • How many email addresses are covered by one licence?

    One license gives you the option to unlock 5 email addresses.


  • How many email addresses can be managed by EmailNotifier on one system?

    15 email adresses is the maximum (covered by 3 licenses).


  • Am I allowed to send newsletters or SPAM with EmailNotifier?

    NO! Although we do not limit the number of messages sent or their volume, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the license agreement without further notice in cases of abuse (incl. newsletters/ SPAM) or above-average usage.


  • Why does EmailNotifier fail to update to the latest version available online?

    When you try to update your EmailNotifier installation with the build-in update function, the update process could fail if you are using an older version of EmailNotifier (before v1.7.0.562, released on 17.10.2005). To fix this problem, please:


    • Uninstall your EmailNotifiet (Start > Programs > EmailNotifier > Uninstall).
    • Download the latest installation for EmailNotifier from >>here<<.
    • Run the downloaded file to install the latest version of EmailNotifier.


  • Can I register as an affiliate?

    Yes! Register now as an affiliate and you can market EmailNotifier by placing links on your Web site to the EmailNotifier's product pages. Beginning with the 2nd sale of EmailNotifier via your Web site you will receive 20% commission for each sale.
